Message It is ~44 psi plus the intake pressure

If you have 10 psi boost, you should have (at that boost) ~54 psi fuel pressure.

With the car off there is *no* fuel pressure, but the check valve in the fuel pump should maintain a little bit of pressure.

If the pressure is ~40 at idle and drops to 0 immediately, something is not correct. Could be the check valve, could be the regulator and pulse dampener, or could be a leaky injector seal
